MADISON, Wis. – Today, TruStage®, a financially strong insurance and financial services provider, announced the successful completion of its most recent Board of Directors meeting, held for the first time in Puerto Rico. This historic two-day event was nearly eight decades in the making, recognizing the crucial role of credit unions on the island. Organizational leaders expressed sincere appreciation to the people of Puerto Rico for their hospitality and the warm welcome they received.

"Puerto Rico's credit unions are a cornerstone of local economic strength and resilience, and play a vital role in the community," said Terrance Williams, president and CEO of TruStage. "We were honored to hold our board meeting there for the first time, and proud to continue our partnership with credit unions across the island."

TruStage has maintained a presence on the island since 1947, supporting credit unions and their members with a shared commitment to community and cooperative values. After the board meeting, Williams extended his stay for a third day to spend time with TruStage employees who support operations on the island. The extra day included conversation, listening sessions and opportunities for employees to share insights about the unique needs of Puerto Rico's credit unions and members.

TruStage's decision to bring its Board of Directors to Puerto Rico reflects the organization’s continued commitment to the island's credit unions, employees and consumers. The company looks forward to building on this moment and further strengthening its close to 80-year relationship with the community.
