MADISON, Wis., — Since 2018, the TruStage™ Foundation Inc. (The Foundation) has invested close to $25.5 million in more than 270 non-profit organizations and social impact projects across the country1. The Foundation serves as the philanthropic arm of TruStage, formerly known as CUNA Mutual Group. Most of those dollars have gone to organizations in Wisconsin and Iowa – the states with the largest share of TruStage employees.

Last year, The Foundation contributed close to $4.5 million to community partners in Wisconsin and Iowa1. Of that, almost $2.4 million went to Iowa and Wisconsin based organizations focused on supporting k-12 students through literacy, mentoring and tutoring1. Roughly $1.4 million went to organizations dedicated to affordable housing, addressing homelessness and rental assistance1.

“TruStage is committed to providing a brighter financial future to everyone,” said Alexzandra Shade, director, TruStage Corporate Social Responsibility. “The organizations that received dollars from The Foundation share in that vision. We are proud to walk alongside community partners committed to helping BIPOC populations overcome generational inequities.”

In 2023, The Foundation focused its philanthropic efforts on economic mobility with an emphasis in supporting education and housing, two critical areas which prioritize the most vulnerable or impacted audiences.
