TruStage Foundation increases community investment across Wisconsin and Iowa in 2025
MADISON, Wis., March 27, 2026 – TruStage® Foundation, the philanthropic arm of TruStage, is announcing it invested more than $3.9 million in nonprofit organizations in communities with the greatest number of employees — Madison, Wis. and Waverly, Iowa1. In 2024, the Foundation invested about $3.5 million in the previously mentioned communities, reinforcing the Foundation's support for local partners working to strengthen economic mobility and helping to create brighter financial futures for all.1
In 2025, more than $2.6 million went to nonprofits in and around Madison, the location with the largest percentage of TruStage employees and home to the organization's corporate headquarters.1 Close to $800,000 went to organizations in Waverly and broader Iowa.1 The year's investments emphasized TruStage's longstanding focus on education and housing — two areas proven to drive meaningful, long-term financial stability.
More than 45% of all 2025 dollars supported housing initiatives, including affordable housing development, homelessness response services, homeownership support and rental assistance.1 Another 36% of funding supported education focused organizations, including literacy programs, mentoring, tutoring and youth development.1
“TruStage is deeply committed to strengthening the communities we call home,” said Kate Austin Stanford, executive director of the TruStage Foundation. “Our support of local nonprofits is directly tied to our mission of making brighter financial futures accessible to all. By investing in education and housing, we are investing in stability, opportunity and the long-term wellbeing of families throughout Wisconsin and Iowa.” Close to $475,000 in additional funds were made available to local nonprofits through the organization's annual Employee Giving Campaign and Dollars for Doers program.
The Foundation's 2025 giving supported more than 100 nonprofit organizations. These community partnerships continue to be rooted in TruStage's people first philosophy and its focus on expanding equity and access across the financial system.
